VPC-L222FX/B has a very consumer electronics look and feel. The glossy black bezel and slim chassis closely resembles one of Sony's HDTV offerings. It's the follow-up to the svelte Sony VAIO VPC-L212FX/B ($1,199.99 list, 3.5 stars), and as such it looks almost identical on the outside. It has the same 24-inch panel with a wide bezel around it, plus the silver color two-pronged foot underneath. The foot provides you a place to rest the wireless keyboard for easy, out-of-the-way storage.
